We are engaged but disagree about living with parents

Our engagement is fixed and both families are happy, but we have a silent tension around where we will live after marriage. My partner feels living with parents is natural and respectful. I feel we may need some independent space at least for the first year.\n\nI do not want this to become a family-versus-partner issue. How can we discuss this before marriage in a mature way?
