I feel guilty for choosing peace over a long relationship

We were together for many years and everyone expected us to marry. I ended it because I felt constantly anxious and unheard. Now I feel guilty for walking away after so much time.\n\nHow do you deal with guilt when the breakup was not because of one big dramatic incident?
