I am unsure whether this relationship has a future

The relationship is good in some ways, but I am unsure about long-term compatibility. I do not want to hurt the other person or waste time. What should I evaluate?
Attraction and affection matter, but long-term compatibility also needs values, conflict style, responsibility, family expectations, money habits, emotional maturity and willingness to grow.
Avoid deciding only on high-emotion days. Notice patterns over time. Ask: ‘Can we discuss difficult things respectfully? Do our life directions fit? Can I be myself without fear? Does this relationship make both of us better?’
Uncertainty does not always mean leave. It means slow down and gather honest information.
Practical next steps
Have three conversations: future expectations, conflict habits and family/money values. Then note what became clearer and what remained avoided.
